Description
Rhapsody Bacchanale is a two-mallet marimba solo inspired by Saint-Saën’s Samson et Dalila, Act III “Danse Bacchanale.” This 4 minute work is composed around a fragmentation of the main theme of “Danse Bacchanale.” The work explores a wide variety of sounds and colors available on the marimba and is written from a “drumming” perspective, containing a very rudimental approach to the instrument.
