Difficult three-movement marimba solo (four mallets) that can be performed on an instrument with four or five octaves. In order to replicate the “clacking” sound of a dancer’s shoes hitting the floor, the musician may occasionally need to simultaneously strike the marimba’s frame and play on the bars with the left hand in the second and third movements. An really emotive piece fit for a skilled performer!
