Purity by Tomasz Golinski

The piece received the 1st prize at the Universal Composition Competition under the patronage of H.M. Queen Paola 2011, Belgium.
In 2011, after one year of studying abroad in a foreign country, my mind was still searching in everything and everyone similarities with things and people surrounding me in Poland. I felt like a prisoner in my own world without true interpretation of reality. Everything was changed: buildings, school, people, culture, language. In one moment I realized that I am closing myself for the outside world, focusing only on my studies. I grew as a student, but I did not grow as a human. The accruing loneliness in the exterior world changed into a passion which was nothing else as need of expression my inside emotion, as a need to express purity of the mind, which was needed to open for the surrounding world. – Composer
