Inspired by the landscape of the composer’s hometown of Medellin, Columbia, Paisaje Accidentado is a single-movement piece with a variety of moods and dissolve into one another. The piece also has a strong cultural influence, as it displays a number of Latin-American rhythmic and melodic gestures without establishing any particular folk rhythm.
