Description
This is the first piece that I ever composed for marimba. It was written during my senior year of high school, and consists of moderately difficult four mallet writing in a legato, rolled style. The composition is influenced in style and harmony by Alfred Fissinger’s Suite for Marimba. The Fissinger Suite was a very important piece to me as a young marimbist, because of Vida Chenoweth’s recording of the piece, which very much inspired me.
