Contemporary Marches for Snare Drum by Jonathan Curtis

This collection presents ten original piece for snare drum. Based on the march form, they feature challenging vocabulary that expresses strong accent patterns, they will provide an interesting challenge for advanced drummers.

The book features ten solo scores, accompanying bass drum parts to allow for duet performances, performance notes, compositional analysis, and an essay detailing the concepts employed within the march form.

Play-along tracks are available online to allow soloists to play the duet parts without a partner.
