Children’s Sonatina by Jason DeCristofaro

Children’s Sonatina is a challenging yet playful work in the neo-Classical style for solo vibraphone.  Following an energetic and spritely A theme the piece transitions into a three voice fugue.  The ensuing development borrows from the A theme and the fugue before leading into the recapitulation and a short but spirited coda. The composer performs the Sonatina below.
