Yamaha OSM-1465 14×6.5 inch Snare Drum

The Yamaha OSM-1465 Concert Snare Drum is made from carefully selected maple, for rich resonance and warm tones. The new classic brown finish ensures an elegant look, suitable for any event. This snare drum features a single snare system with coil & cable snares included, shallow snare bed, k-type strainer, Yamaha remo renaissance diplomat top head, Yamaha remo diplomat snare bottom head.

Snare Wires

Featuring high carbon steel and a new manufacturing process, the included coil snares have been designed specifically for concert snare drums. Small coil diameter and a ultra high carbon steel wire material result in detailed pianissimo response and powerful fortissimo expression. This new design has exceptional playability and is capable of producing an array of tonal colours.

The stainless steel wires feature nylon coating with carbon, capable of producing a crisp sound with little noise when turned off or on. Ten central stands offer a powerful sound and three outer strands on each side produce a response that is delicate enough to enable subtle playing nuances. These wires have been designed to easily attach and detach from the snare and are capable of performing with consistent tension.

Shallow Snare Bed

For natural drum resonance a shallow, distortion resistant, snare bed is used on the snare side, resulting in a natural sounding tone and graceful response.

K Type Strainer

The same K type strainer is used on the BSM as the OSM series. This strainer is capable of producing a wide action with smooth operation and minimum noise.

Tube Legs

An ideal balance of tension is achieved by tensioning the top and bottom heads using unified lugs, resulting in optimum sound transmission from both heads. Shell resonance is fully exploited as the design offers minimum contact.

Die-Cast Hoop

The aluminium hoops are lightweight but offer stability and strength to the design, for a bright and well-defined tone.
