Difficult three-movement marimba solo (four mallets) that can be performed on an instrument with four or five octaves. In order to replicate the “clacking” sound of a dancer’s shoes hitting the floor, the musician may occasionally need to simultaneously strike the marimba’s frame and play on the bars with the left hand in the second and third movements.
