Peter Klemke has taken up the big task arranging a large part of this famous ballet work for mallets. The original music was composed by Peter I. Tchaikovsky from 1875-76, and received its first performance on February 27, 1877 at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. The ballet was revised both as ballet and musically in 1895 under Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov. Since then this ballet work has been staged all around the world and is still one of the most popular ballet works ever written.
The original was scored for full orchestra.
Klemke´s arrangement is based on a piano reduction of the original score, and has a total duration of appr. 48′.

2. Dance of the Boglets (Bechertanz): Tempo di polacca

Act II:
3. Dance of the Swan I: tempo di valse

6: Coda: Allegro Vivo.

Act III:
7. Hungarian Dance (Ungarischer Tanz): Czardas
8. Spanish Dance: Allegro non troppo (Tempo di bolero)
