This is a short melodic piece based on a simple tune which is introduced in the intro. A Song for Flute and Marimba has three main sections; The first a variation on the main theme, then a change of key and a slow waltz builds up to a short flute cadenza, and finally the main theme reappears with the flute playing melodies around it
