Sisters by Adam Bruce

Sisters‘ is a fun and challenging trio for advanced players. This piece pays homage to the composer’s two daughters and his my interpretation of their sweet, playful, and complementary (though sometimes challenging) relationship.

Program Notes
Sisters is my interpretation of the sweet, playful, and complementary (though sometimes challenging) relationship that my daughters have with each other. They are each represented by the Vibraphone and Marimba while the Drum Set and Djembe, which represent me, observe, support, and engage with them. Moving from lyrical chorale, upbeat swing, shout chorus, and a pensive interlude, this piece covers a wide variety of musical styles and is sure to be a crowd-pleaser at any concert or recital.
