Rhythmic Renaissance by Dave Danford

Rhythmic Renaissance, the debut solo album from British percussion soloist Dave Danford, is a unique collection of accessible music for solo percussion. Much of the repertoire performed by the percussion soloists of today falls into two distinct categories; contemporary, atonal compositions and light, novelty items.

The items on this CD aim to sit somewhere in the region between these two genres, musically of a high quality while still managing to remain accessible to all audiences.
