Reich in Rainbows for solo marimba/glock and tape by William Shaltis

The music of composer Steve Reich and the later music of the band Radiohead have a lot in common. In fact, around the time I was writing this mashup of their music, Steve Reich heard Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood perform his Electric Counterpoint. Reich was so blown away that he himself wanted to write a piece based on the music of this band – what became his Radio Rewrite.
