Pieces for Frame Drum – Volume 1

The outstanding percussionist and framedrum expert Nora Thiele now presents her first volume of framedrum-pieces. The Book is based on the “Instruction Book for Frame Drum” by Torsten Pfeffer and addressed to beginners and intermediate players. It contains five solo-pieces and five compositions in two voices that may be performed as duet or in larger groups. Many musical aspects and playing techniques were taken into consideration such as: split-hand, snapping, harmonics played with TAKs, uneven time signatures, meter changes, independency and two drums played simultaneously. Furthermore, the exclusive videos of all pieces on this website performed by the author are not just a great experience but also provide a solid guide line for the favored musical interpretation and technical realization of the scores.
