Eckhard Kopetzki’s “Le Chant du Serpent”, the song of the snake – is a powerful play on eight drums fills the room and makes it so resonant to the oversized body, the bearer of a musical ritual. Shouts, clapping and drumming paint a picture of an enormous serpent body, which seems to consist of a variety of imaginary dancers, which move in a spellbinding movements about a wild fire. This an amzing, wondefully entertaining piece for percussion ensemble (4 players)
