Latin-Percussion Handbook by Donald Skoog

I’ve been studying in Cuba for twelve years. During that time I’ve collected notes from various teachers, bringing them home to rework them so I could prepare other Americans for study on the island. This book is the result of that work. It includes technical exercises as taught by different teachers at the Escuela Nacionál de Arte, popular rhythms, rumba, various approaches to tumbao, hand-and-stick exercises, and folkloric patterns as played on congas.
