Kolberg DF26 Dresden Flannel Hard Timpani Mallets

Traditional timpani mallets made of flannel discs. A coloured tension nut fixes the layered discs on the wooden thread and marks their hardness level.
The sound characteristics of the Dresden flannel timpani mallets are very versatile. They are harder, more succinct and clearer than the Viennese flannel mallets and develop – when broken in – an additional soft, clearly defined timbre. Due to this extreme versatility these durable timpani mallets can be played in a multitude of pieces and casts.
