Description
This major work for solo marimba was written by NY composer Makia Matsumura in homage to Kamakiri – the Praying Mantis – and small creatures in nature. Commissioned by Haruka Fujii, and premiered in 2007 at the Zeltsman Marimba Festival, you can hear the strong influence of tango in this exceptional piece. Difficulty level 5. For 4 mallets, 5 octave marimba.
