Into the Sunset by Jack Jenny

Into the Sunset is organized through the use of several un-ordered pitch-class sets and explores a number of odd meters as way to move the music forward. This piece was written for the composer’s retirement concert after 40 years at Otterbein University and is dedicated to the Percussion Ensemble there. 

Player : Vibraphone, 2 Wood Blocks, Bongos

Player 2: Marimba 1 (4.0 oct), Tubular Bells, Sleigh Bells, Congas

Player 3: Marimba 2 (5.0 oct), Triangle, Marching Machine 

Player 4: 5 or 6 Timpani, Orchestral Bells, Crotales (1.0 oct), Vibraslap, Tambourine, Rainstick

Player 5: Drumset, Xylophone
