This piece is written for Vibraphone and acoustic bass. A demonstration of independence concept with the right hand playing an ostinato and the left hand playing the melody along with the acoustic bass. The feels throughout the piece are straight eight, six eight, latin. Every section has a different musical color. The third section has a middle eastern flavor. The forth section incorporates western harmony over a latin feel. A recording of this piece can be found on ‘Point II’ CD called ‘Hortensia’. It will be available in Spring 2013.
