Caden Hong, a young student from Honolulu, was inspired by percussion ensemble music and made it his goal to commission new works for his group. With the support from his teaching, Zachary Morita, he was able to gather funding and connect with current composers. I am thrilled to be a part of this commissioning project for the Hawaii Youth Percussion Ensemble.
