Description
1 ¼” LARGE orange poly ball on rattan. Hardness Scale = 7.5
Rattan shaft 7.5mm thick ( + or – due to natural taper of rattan ) and 13.5” long.
This large ball is considerably harder than K7 and more like a beefed up version of the K5 with more weight and increased contact area. Huge sound and extremely powerful but still warm and round. The perfect mallet for all Shostakovich symphonies as well as pieces like Appalachian Spring. Effortless volume with a full and rich quality of sound.
