Description
fAnaTiC by Casey Cangelosi is written for drum set, glockenspiel, triangle, and tape. The tape splices together various (explicit) political commentary, news audio clips, and people voicing strong opinions, often angrily.
The tape is accompanied by heavier guitar sounds, and the player plays along rhythmically on the drum set with the track throughout the first half of the piece, and returns to the drum set for the end of the piece. The middle section is a soft, introspective texture with no voices that is much less chaotic.
