Echoes by Kevin Bobo

Echoes was commissioned by Dr. Julia Gaines, Professor of Percussion at The University of Missouri Columbia. The piece is unlike most of the pieces Bobo has written for solo marimba in that it is not virtuosic or loud. It utilizes a simple “flam-tap” technique, along with exact pitch relationships to help give the piece its title.
