The Chalklin MSGJ3 Ragtime Softer Xylophone Mallets are a high quality pair of beaters. Featuring a Poly head and a longer Rattan shaft, these balanced sticks are great for the player who prefers a solid wooden handle for easier playing. The longer shaft makes it easier to create more sound without more force being needed.

Really nice mallets, best suited as mentioned in the title for softer xylophone stuff, but they are more than capable to comfortably play some louder excerpts and some soft Glockenspiel bits. All around brilliant mallets and brilliant service from Southern percussion
