Description
Caleidoscópio is written for a 5 octave marimba and was inspired by the composers research into the “Ritmica” coordinational independence approach created by Brazilian conductor Jose Gramani as well as a number of lectures on the topic given by Rogerio Boccato, one of his protégés. The core of Caleidoscópio is based on the simultaneous performance of unconnected meters/ostinati, which is a component of the “Ritmica” approach.
