From bar 59 to 65, the player will recognize some examples of typical dance rhythms which have followed the drum through the years. The motive in bars 70 to 73 (4.3.4.2) is typical from Icelandic folk songs/danses.

The performer should of course find his own movements and gestures, though fulfilling the written music.
