Aurora by Paul Judge

This piece is inspired by the dramatic magic and mystery of the ‘Aurora Borealis’. The piece features interweaving marimba ostinati in two and three beats, never letting the listener become too grounded as a panorama of dancing lights unfolds around them! The long, hanging melodies are in contrast to the busy and textured accompaniment, and a driving ‘rock’ rhythm-section helps keep our feet on the ground, as the light show weaves and dances overhead!
