This piece can be performed with both players using one 5-octave marimba. However it’ll be easier to negotiate certain passages if two marimbas are available.

Dynamic markings appear underneath each respective staff. If the two hands play at the same dynamic only one dynamic marking appears between the staves.

Mallet choice is at the descretion of the players. Strive for a clear, bright tone in the upper register and a full, resonate sound in the lower register. A sticking suggestion is listed at measure 102. Numerals indicate low to high, with 1 being the lowest mallet.
