Afta-stuba! by Mark Ford

An Afta-Stuba! is a follow-up  Stubernic. Afta-Stuba! is composed for three players on one low A marimba, just like Stubernic. This piece can be played separately or after Stubernic. Afta-Stuba! has a few Stubernic motifs, and the opening three notes of the Stubernic theme serve as the basis for the major theme at bar 20. Every performer in this composition plays in every instrument register at various points throughout the song. The piece requires the players to take turns standing behind the marimba and even playing from the front.
