From Afro-Cuban To Rock is the first DVD to demonstrate the implementation of the rhythms of Cuba into non-traditional settings. This video showcases the Santana rhythm section, starring Paul Rekow and Karl Perazzo on congas, timbales and other percussion instruments. Joining them are Billy Johnson and Myron Dove from the Santana band on drums and bass, along with keyboard player Rebeca Mauleon.

This DVD clearly instructs, showcases and demonstrates traditional Cuban rhythms such as the Guajira, Guaguanco, Palo, Cha-cha-cha, Rumba, Columbia and Afro-Cuban 6/8, as well as providing instruction for each on various percussion instruments.
