Three Recollections for Solo Marimba by Nicholas Papador

“Three Recollections is a loosely programmatic work of short musical episodes interpreting states of longing and loss. In preparing the piece for publication, I have revisited the memories depicted therein as well as those of my compositional style at the time of its writing. The piece is scored for a 4.3 octave marimba range and reques the use of four-mallets throughout. Three Recollections is also a technical vehicle for developing a variety of technical co-ordinations at the marimba for intermediate level performer.” – Nicholas Papador
