Keith Larson’s Suite Mexicana is comprised of 3 movements that are basic 4-mallet marimba solos. They are great pieces for beginner students and the collection is approved for many state contests. The 1st movement is fast and incorporates some basic syncopation. The 2nd movement is choral-type and is all rolled. The 3rd movement presents more Latin style rhythms and is fast like the 1st movement.
