Population: 1 Too Many by Dean Gronemeier is a four mallet solo scored for 4.5 octave marimba (low F). The satirical title of this solo comes from Gronemeier’s experience unpon arrival at his new home in Las Vegas. There was one person who, instead of greeting the composer with warmth, tried to make his life miserable. This piece reflects the composers feelings towards this individual. This ostinato based piece has three movements that could be played alone or all together as one unit. Suitable for intermediate players.
