The title is inspired by the 2008 Olympic Game in Beijing, China. At that point, Chin-Cheng Lin was enjoying works with some tonal elements and at the same time wanted to create some interesting dissonance in the chords. Each movement has different characters as the title. The first and third movement is very rhythmic and the second movement is more melodic and free.
