Te l Ling Percussion Duo was founded by award-winning percussionist YaoTe, Hsieh and Ling Lu from Taiwan in 2017. Based on the incomparable tacit understanding between the two, they decided to collaborate as Percussion Duo and committed to promoting their own unique percussion interpretation.

Te l Ling, also “ Telling”, the name contains not only the part of our names, but also the meaning of telling the music, conveying the original intention of the music. Yao-Te and Ling studied their master’s degree together in Germany from 2016 to 2018 and currently studying for their “Solistenexamen degree” from 2018 respectively with Professor Isao Nakamura at the Conservatory Karlsruhe and with Professor Dennis Kuhn at the Conservatory Mannheim.

In February 2018, the duo won Second Prize at the renowned International Percussion Competition Luxembourg and also the Special Prize “ Ady Mootz” for the best interpretation of the set piece for the final round.

Yao-Te and Ling are also separately the First Prize Winner at Universal Marimba Competition Belgium 2017 and the Third Prize Winner at PAS Italy Competition 2017.

At the Italy Percussive Arts Society “Days of Percussion 2018”, the duo won the First Prize from Italy Percussive Arts Web Contest and was invited performing as guests for the opening concert and had great chance to be one of the Partners with Southern Percussion company!
