Ronald Lo Presti studied at the renowned Eastman School of Music in Rochester and got his Bachelor of Music as his Master of Music (1956) with the composition Two symphonic sketches.  He then became a music teacher and clarinet instructor at various public schools.  Later he became professor at the Texas Tech University in Lubbock and continued on to the Indiana State College (Pennsylvania) in Indiana.  In 1964 he was a lecturer for music theory at the Arizona State University in Tempe and his pupils included among others Eugene Anderson, Charles Marlowe and Donald Young.
