Four identical set-ups make this a fun piece to watch and listen to. Fellinger explores every possible sound one can create through the use of a snare drum, bass drum, and a pair of drum sticks. Each player is required to perform over 20 different techniques throughout the course of the piece.
In Fellinger's "junky" piece "Don't Talk Trash," oil barrels, buckets, various household bowls, iron pipes tuned, car brake drums, aluminum tubes, and four thunder sheets are all used. You and your students will not only have a blast tracking these "instruments" down, but also performing this groovin' piece!
Cold Groove is a percussion sextet that does nothing but...well...GROOVE! Each player has a snare drum plus at least one auxiliary instrument to give some textural variety. Filled with tons of visuals, Cold Groove is not only a treat for the ears, but for the eys too!
